Tempe Diablos Excellence in Education Video Contest 2022
Teachers and educators impact us in many ways. Sometimes it is providing insights to a whole new world of learning, sometimes it is being there for us with a special connection, and sometimes it is tough love that helps find our true capabilities.
As we prepare for the 2022 Tempe Diablos Excellence in Education Awards held on May 3rd, 2022, during Teacher Appreciation Week we are looking to enlist your help. Sound interesting?
The Tempe Diablos are sponsoring a video contest with a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card. Entering is easy. Grab your mobile phone and record a ~30 second video of you. First introduce yourself and then tell us about a specific teacher in your life that impacted you and why it mattered. You don’t have to name them if you don’t want to… saying a high school teacher or my choir director etc. We are going to use these videos to show the impact teachers have at our event on May 3rd so please be sure to read the full contest Rules and Terms below.

Tempe Diablos Media Contest Rules and Terms
Thank you for your interest in supporting the Tempe Diablos Charities, Inc., the Temper Diablos, Inc., and related entities (collectively the “Tempe Diablos”). The media contest is governed by these “Media Contest Rules and Terms,” along with the Terms and Conditions set forth on the Tempe Diablos’ website, located at https://tempediablos.org/dev/terms-and-conditions/. By your participation in the media contest or other submission of media, you agree that you have read these Media Contest Rules and Terms, along with Terms and Conditions set forth on the Tempe Diablos’ website, and agree to such terms and rules.
Contest Name. Diablos Video Contest 2022
Submission Period. February 25th, 2022 until 5:00 p.m. (MST) April 15th, 2022.
Media Scope. Create a video no more than 30 seconds in length that is appropriate for posting upon the Tempe Diablos’ website. The video content must be suitable for viewing by audience members of all ages. The Tempe Diablos will determine, in its sole discretion, inappropriate or otherwise questionable content. Media that includes political or partisan content will not be accepted. All submissions must be free from any software viruses, worms, or other content that may result, directly or indirectly, in damage to hardware or software.
Content. The video must communicate to viewers the impact and value of a great teacher in a way that is complementary to the Tempe Diablos scholarships or the Tempe Diablos Excellence in Education Awards (collectively the (“Awards”). We urge you to create the video from your first-person perspective and in a manner that incorporates your own personality.
Publish. Publish the video the link provided on tempediablos.org by 5:00 p.m. (MST) on April 15th, 2022. Your inclusion, use, post or reposting of the aforementioned hashtag will constitute your acknowledgement and acceptance of these rules and terms.
Drawing. Each qualifying entry will entitle you to be entered into a drawing to win an Amazon gif card valued at $100 (the “Prize”). Winners will be announced on April 30th, 2022.
Intellectual Property. By your participation in the media contest or other submission of media, you represent and warrant that you are the copyright holder(s) of the media, or hold a license sufficient to grant the rights conferred herein. You further represent you have the permission of any persons depicted or referenced in the media, including permission from any parent or guardian of any persons depicted or referenced in the media as may be necessary. You confirm that the media does not infringe upon or conflict with any other intellectual property license or right not owned or held by you. You grant the Tempe Diablos a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and fully-paid right to reproduce, publish, distribute, display, and create derivative works of your media in any medium or format, without compensation or restriction.
Indemnification. You agree to indemnify the Tempe Diablos, its members, officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, and attorneys (the “Indemnified Parties”) and hold the Indemnified Parties harmless from all claims and all damages of any nature arising, in whole or in part, from your submission of media to the Tempe Diablos, whether for a media contest or otherwise.
Identification. You agree to allow the Tempe Diablos to identify you, publish your identity and likeness, and information provided by you to the Tempe Diablos.
Consent and Majority. You represent and agree that you understand these Media Contest Rules and Terms, and the terms set forth on the Tempe Diablos’ website. You further represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age or, if not, that your parent or legal guardian has given consent to these rules and terms.
Odds. The odds of winning vary and are dependent upon the number of qualified entries submitted pursuant to these rules and terms.
Delivery. Winners will receive notification via social media and must contact the Tempe Diablos in order to provide information for delivery of the Prize by U.S. regular mail.
Right to Cancel or Suspend Contest. The Tempe Diablos reserve the right to cancel this Media Contest for any reason, to be determined in the sole discretion of the Tempe Diablos, in order to protect the integrity, reputation, or other aspect of the Tempe Diablos, its members, or community partners. If the Tempe Diablos cancel this Media Contest, the Tempe Diablos will not retain any of the intellectual property rights in the submitted media.
